I cannot accept ignorance as a valid reason for being duped into living a life filled with temporary satisfactions, which supposedly will finalize with the ultimate satisfaction of success and happiness. How about you?
Holding the money carrot – The American Dream – out in front of the one that will invest their entire life, while persuading many more along the way to do the same, is done by ones that absolutely does not know God and willfully chooses to remain ignorant of a much better life. How can such false hope be implanted into a family, church, community, nation and the world?
As you have hopefully already acknowledged, our perception, our world view, our way of seeing an understanding how to have a good life has been based upon the greatest deception of all: “There is another way”.
There are more ways to reach God than The Way (I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. – John 14:6) A rebellion against God started a long time ago by the acceptance of a certain deceit, “Thou shall not surely die”. Notice these verses In Genesis 3:1-5: “Now the serpent was more subtile than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”
The Evil One has devised other ways ~ plans based upon deception ~ and most men have fallen and will fall for these deceptions. An obvious example is short-cuts to more and easier money. How can this be? Why is it that we so readily give attention to those promoting the life of fame and fortune?
Self-gratification is something we are all born with. But sometime during the earlier stages of life, some can begin to recognize that a greater fulfillment can be had just by one thing ~ giving to and helping others. Most everyone else have been spoiled to the fact that it’s all about them and how much wealth they can accumulate. This perspective, this bondage, this selfish desire will dictate the path that is followed throughout life if the choice is made to NOT to consider God’s way. Why remain so ignorant? Who’s to blame? Dare we not to look into the mirror?
“There are two sides to this story.” We’ve all heard that one countless times. Shouldn’t we look for, identify and consider, the truth? There are ways that seems right but aren’t
The Bible says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” -Proverbs 16:25). Why is it that we settle for so much less by believing lies instead of the truth?
You don’t believe a lie? Are you sure about that?
Why aren’t we aware of the fact that we can be brought to where we use our time by focusing on things that does not add any value to a REAL life?
How could we have been made to be so ignorant? It is because we chose ignorance over truth. That’s right: We chose to remain in the state of darkness and with no understanding. Why would we do that? Acknowledging truth requires change and change causes pain, suffering and persecution and who wants all of that in their life? If that doesn’t connect with you then think about this question: Why do so many people go after a government job and after obtaining one they cast their vote in favor of ANYTHING that will insure their benefits? The answer is in the question ~ benefits.
Long story short: Nothing is to get in the way of letting the good-times roll for us and OUR future.
So… Don’t let the worms devour you!
“A vibration of the earth will bring the worms to the top.”
This is true in another sense: Some will fuss, fight and kick at something they don’t want to understand.
