Beulah – A Poem by John P Shepherd

Beulah

Destiny, Destiny, come take me away
To the land of my dreams, let me drift up in time
And review with one glance all the trophies of mine.
Destiny, Destiny, come take me away.

Decision, decision, obey Me decision,
Hand on plow to a land, close yet far on command.
Pass the test, get to rest, take a look, see the land.
Decision, decision, obey Me decision.

Destiny, Destiny, come make me to know
What can be had of thee; here I am marking time.
All is Yours, even more, as for me, what is mine?
Destiny, Destiny, come make me to know.

Decision, decision, come try Me decision.
Step by step view the land, all you see, that is thine.
Keep your heart lest you fall, always know time is Mine.
Decision, decision, come try Me decision.

Destiny, Destiny, how great You are Destiny.
Search me now, You will see a pure heart still not free
From the yearning to come and receive gifts from Thee.
Destiny, Destiny, how great Thou art Jesus
